Andy Steele is a former Australian military and special forces commando with a decorated career that included deployments to East Timor, Iraq, Afghanistan also serving in the domestic counter terrorism team.

Andy has never talked about his career and he opened up about his experiences for the first time. During this conversation we discuss the impact of being the team commander during the tragic live fire training incident of Mason Edwards that still weighs heavily on him. He shares combat stories and some of the lighter unexpected realities of war, such as being shot at while going to the bathroom. This candid discussion allows his family and listeners to gain insight into the challenges and sacrifices he faced during his military service.
