We’re waking up from naps, we have beef with the Nordic Combined, Sam is confused about skimo, and we love Amber Glenn!Today, Abby takes Sam through the chaos that is the Winter Olympics, breaking down the weirdest sports (skeleton?! ski-mo?!) and why throwing yourself down an ice track at 90mph feels… unnecessary. We talk queer athletes and couples to root for, unpack why Nordic Combined still doesn’t have a women’s division, and shout out the skaters, skiers, and icon behavior that actually make us excited to watch. Plus: snowed-in hobbies and recs that range from cozy comfort TV to a pod favorite, space-gay content Olympic sportsCoach Jackie explainer on women’s Nordic combined not being includedMeet the queer couples competing in the 2026 Winter OlympicsShe's a contender to win Olympic gold. We’re back to our regularly irregular schedule and we're immediately jumping into the internet’s current obsession: Heated Rivalry. SPOILERS!!!!! Starting at 22:50 and ending at 36:30, hear why Abby has beef (mostly with the first two episodes), Sam is more forgiving, and we of course end up talking about closeted vulnerability, sports culture, and the allies we’ love to see (Rose and Svetlana supremacy). Plus: Audrey Hobert tickets secured, a travel horror story, an archery anniversary date, rugby is back (and unfortunately very cold), and book recs that wrecked us. ‘Heated Rivalry’ Inspired Real-Life Hockey Player Jesse Kortuem to Come OutCaleb Williams’ Nails Are Changing the NFL’s Status Quo — See All His Looks

Christmas is here and we have thoughts. We’re talking traditions, controversial music opinions, and must-watch movies. We spiral over an alleged Christmas version of Africa, detour into an impromptu Happiest Season recap, and yes we made a Christmas playlist, because of course we did.Cheers!

Christmas playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/07RTmOLN8Ib5NqpSrs2cfT?si=lSJdtEz3QtKYvzY4FNrjUA

Straight No Chaser - The 12 Days of Christmas: https://youtu.be/2Fe11OlMiz8?si=H4Wvgc-e0tktEfoh

We’re reacting to the Golden Globe nominations like we’ve watched everything (we haven’t) and then hopping in a time machine to revisit the pop culture ladies that absolutely rewired our brains — from Keira Knightley to Shego to the Cadet Kelly gun-flippy routine.
