Rudy Farias was reported missing on March 7, 2015, by his mother, Janie Santana[3]. He was 17 years old at the time of his disappearance and was last seen walking his dogs in north Houston[3][5]. Family members were warned that he may have been abducted and sold for human trafficking[5]. However, Rudy Farias was found alive outside of a Houston church last week, eight years after his disappearance[1][2][4][5]. Neighbors were shocked to find out that he was reported missing because they never knew about it[1]. According to activist Quanell X, Farias was sexually abused and drugged by his mother for eight years[1]. Police have launched an investigation into the case[2][4][6].
