  • S2 E25 - NFL is back!

The boys are back! and just in time to kick off one of the best sporting months of the year!

They start the show with a preview of the upcoming NHL season starting this week, the guys give you their start of season takes on Division winners, Cup winner and MVP.

Onto the baseball field where the Jay's clinched a playoff birth and are firmly in the drivers seat for the first wildcard spot. The guys breakdown if they would rather the Mariners or Rays in the Wildcard series and give you their updated prediction of the World Series champs.

Meanwhile on the gridiron the NFL season is well underway, the guys give you their thoughts on the leagues only remaining undefeated team, the Eagles, are they contenders or pretenders? That's not all for the NFL this week, the league is in damage control mode as a scary concussion causes Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa to be stretchered off the field just days after being allowed to return to play against the Bill's following a hit that left him visibly woozy. The guys give you their thoughts on the incident and what might have gone wrong.

Another former NFL player and former P&P Penalty Box resident finds himself in the box again, this time for exposing himself to women at a pool in a Dubai hotel.

Two tennis legends share the honours of this weeks MVP after retiring following incredible careers.

    S2E25 - 2h 31m - Oct 5, 2022
  • S2 E24 - World Juniors Remix

It's August, it's hot outside, the holidays are months away, but it's World Junior's time nonetheless. The guys recap Canada's overtime heroics to claim the Gold and the fantastic tournament Mason McTavish had.

Better check where you catch your Big 10 football games, ESPN's deal with the conference fell through, the guys give their thoughts on the impact to fans on ESPN not carrying Big 10 games for the first time in 40 years.

It's been a while since our last Blue Jays update and the boys of summer have been moving and shaking. What will their trade deadline moves and recent play mean for their playoff chances? The guys update their previous end of year team record predictions (Spoiler alert, they all have less wins projected now than at the start!)

The Deshaun Watson saga appears to finally have an end in sight with a deal made for a fine and longer suspension. Did the league get it right?

A familiar face in the box as Jake Paul is making a fool of himself again and we begrudgingly award a Yankee this weeks MVP. I suppose he earned it, and is at least a former Jay to boot!

Don't skip our scoreboard update where we let you know how the last couple rounds of golf between the guys went... Jesse really wants to start using handicaps...

    S2E24 - 1h 55m - Aug 24, 2022
  • S2 E23 - Formula Un

The guys kick of this weeks show with a blockbuster move in the NHL, it's the first time two 100 point players have swapped since Gretzky was moved for a package including Jimmy Carson, back in the 80s. What does this mean for the future of the Flames?

In the NFL the Cardinals make Kyler a top 5 paid QB, the guys let you know if he will live up to the lofty expectations that come with the big pay day.

The NFL may not be in season but you might be thrown off by the Blue Jays 28-5 walloping of the Red Sox, but we don't feel bad (F*** Boston). The midsummer classic also came and went with a heavy presence from the Jays... at least the ones that actually got to play!

A crash while in the lead in Formula UN finds the driver in the penalty box and a Canadian cashes in her 2nd career major victory for this weeks MVP honours.

  • S2 E22 - Baseball Brawls and Fista Cuffs

    S2E22 - 1h 43m - Jul 6, 2022
  • S2 E21 - Asterisks No Hitter

It's the last episode before the cup is awarded and the guys fill you in on their final takes on the Avalanche vs Lighting series. Colorado might win it all but should they be ahead in the series after a controversial O/T winner in game 4?

Papi cleans up at the NHL awards as the guys run through the major hardware winners.

On the court teams are adding to their squads as the NBA draft occurred this week. The guys give you their thoughts on the top end of the draft and let you know if this is a golden generation in Canadian basketball.

A rare no-hitter earns a spot in the MVP and we're a host short on this weeks episode but he still managed to make an appearance... in the penalty box!

    S2E21 - 1h 22m - Jun 29, 2022
  • S2 E20 - Garbage Can Trophy

It's the Stanley Cup final to lead off this weeks episode. The Avalanche came out firing on all cylinders as they took a quick 2-0 series lead in Colorado... are they on the verge of sweeping their way into the record books? Or will the back to back defending champs wake up in Tampa.

The cheatin' Rams are spending like drunken sailors and restructuring deals to manipulate the cap, is it really cheating though?

Golden State wins again as we chat about the NBA finals and the champs chances at repeating next year. Also Fuck Boston.

A meltdown on the course lands a first timer a spot in our penalty box and another cheatin' team finds their way into the MVP with a first time occurrence in major league baseball. We don't think they were cheating this time... but do we really know?

    S2E20 - 1h 1m - Jun 22, 2022
  • S2 E19 - World Cup Strike

We kick off this weeks episode with the Battle of the Mac's in the NHL, it's been more one sided than expected at 3-0 so far for the Avs. The guys let you know if they see a sweep coming or not. In the East will Jesse stick to his guns after Tampa's streak of winning a playoff game after a loss is finally broken? How many games was it anyway?

On the track the LIV golf field is mostly announced, although there is still a big name missing... Will these players play another round in the PGA after teeing it up in the LIV?

In the ballpark the Jays are finally surging, but have they already let the division slip away to the powerhouse pinstripes?

We're into the NBA finals and the guys give you their choices for Finals MVP, could a player really win MVP but lose the championship?

On the pitch the Canadian Men's National Team, flying high after winning the CONCACAF, world cup bound for the first time in 36 years... are on strike. Talk about a buzz kill. The guys weigh in on this emerging labour dispute and what it might mean for Canada at the world cup and beyond.

The dumbass Mets find themselves in this weeks penalty box and the king of clay earns this weeks MVP honours.

    S2E19 - 1h 35m - Jun 8, 2022
  • S2 E18 - Air Kitty

The second round of the NHL playoffs are coming to an end, the guys give you the rundown of the battles of the past round and look ahead to the final four.

The PGA championship was tightly contested and needed extra holes to crown the champ, but the guys let you know who didn't quite live up to expectations.

NBA finals are just around the corner, the guys give you their thoughts on the third round performances and pick who will win the East and face the Warriors for the Larry O'Brien trophy.

The guys had high hopes for the Blue Jays heading into the season, after a lackluster start have they changed their mind about how the Jays season will end up?

A first timer joins the elite company that is the Points and Penalties MVP club, it might have gone straight to his head! Fantasy Football gone wrong lands a Baseball player squarely in the penalty box for the week.

    S2E18 - 1h 48m - Jun 1, 2022
  • S2 E17 - First Round Chumps

The guys kick off the show this week with a rundown of the first round of the NHL playoffs. The demons remain to be exorcised for at least another year as the Leafs face a familiar result in yet another winner take all failure, at least they set a cross sport record with this one...

Lefty is a notable absence from the PGA championship as the LIV invitational approaches, sounds like he's not the only golfer that cant wait to leave the tour.

We're just about through the second round of the NBA playoffs. The guys give you their picks for the conference finals (full disclosure... this was before the Suns/Mavs game started... and we were all wrong!) The NBA regular season awards are now finalized, the guys let you know if there are any winners they disagree with, ROY anyone???

The NFL schedule is announced and there will be some bigtime games to catch, the guys let you know what their can't miss game will be in the upcoming season.

The Cincinnati Reds manage to make an appearance in both the MVP and the Penalty Box, but both for all the wrong reasons... at least the Bengals should be good this year!

    S2E17 - 2h 15m - May 18, 2022
  • S2 E16 - Path to the Draft

The guys kick off this week's episode with a recap of the NFL draft and how we feel about our favorite teams picks and moves. None of us were clever enough to guess the right first overall pick but we might have had a take or two that hit.

The Bills pick a punter late in the draft and the guys are divided on how they feel, would you have taken the left legged punting god?

The NHL playoffs are on the horizon and the guys take the last chance to adjust their picks for the Hart, Norris and Stanley cup champ. We had to pick again since the cup winner pick by our "hockey expert" didn't even make the playoffs! Ooof.

The first round is over in the NBA and the brackets are beginning to fall apart. The guys give you their thoughts on some of the first round storylines and dissect the Raptor's series loss and direction moving forward.

The NHL's first 60 goal scorer in over a decade cruises into the MVP and an epic gaff to end a baseball game "earns" a spot in this weeks penalty box.

    S2E16 - 1h 58m - May 4, 2022
  • S2 E15 - Miggy Legacy

We kick off the show this week with our condolences to the families and loved ones of a couple legends lost from the game of hockey and a fixture of Blue Jays broadcasting taking a leave to kick cancer's ass.

The guys chat about a new addition to an exclusive club in the MLB and where he will finish his career in hits and homers, and a crazy triple that we may never see again with the shift getting shifted to the trash can next season.

The NHL playoffs loom and the Leafs first round opponent is a close race between Boston and Tampa. The guys let you know who they would rather see the Leafs play and whether they will get over the hump for first time in nearly 20 years by beating either their playoff nemesis over the past decade or the reigning back to back Stanley cup champ.

In the NBA the guys recap the start of the playoffs and play in games and how they feel about the Raps-76ers series so far... and are we still taking about the rookie of the year?! Of course we are!

"Surfin' Bird - The Trashmen" Google it and you'll know all about our last topic for the week.

A linebacker (probably) playing baseball makes his debut in our penalty box and the most productive defenseman in nearly 30 years claims the MVP, but is it even enough to win the Norris?

    S2E15 - 1h 48m - Apr 27, 2022
  • S2 E14 - The Masters

It's a new season in the MLB and there's no shortage of drama to kick off the campaign. The guys chat about the opening day heroics and give you their predictions for the Jays record on the season and who will be the 2022 World Series Champs.

In the NHL Papi is scoring at an outrageous pace, but just how impressive of a season is it compared to the best in history? The guys predict how many he will have at the end of his record breaking season.

The NBA season winds to an end and the guys have one last chance to reconsider their predictions, will they stick to their guns or change their choices for MVP, ROY & who will win the championship.

The Masters comes to a close as a rising star claims his first green jacket. The guys chat about Tiger's performance in his first major back from injury and some big names that didn't make the cut.

An historic season in the NBA secures this weeks MVP, but surprisingly not all the guys think that's enough to win the league MVP. We like to chirp each other on this show so it's a good thing we couldn't crack the NHL, some ridiculous penalties earn the NHL refs a trip to our penalty box.

    S2E14 - 2h 10m - Apr 13, 2022
  • S2 E13 - March Madness

Overtime has changed in the NFL... and everyone is happier for it. The two best teams in the NFC have huge news and the boys discuss the obvious choice.

The NCAA is coming to an end and the bracket challenge with it. Can Jesse continue his streak of claiming winners? Find out our biggest surprises of the tournament and why March Madness is so exciting for the guys.

NCAA Legend retires after losing to his rival team. The guys talk about what they will remember about this MVP.

The Masters is back and GOAT might be looking to play. P&P pick their winners as we all get hyped for golf season.

Lots of Toronto sport talk as GROAT comes back to play against the Raptors. Papa is well on his way to scoring the most goals in Leaf history and the BJ's swap back stops.

The Penalty Box is Gritty's team as they end an iron man streak.

    S2E13 - 1h 38m - Apr 6, 2022
  • S2 E12 - World Cup

The Dolphins are making a big splash (see what I did there) in the NFL this week as they add a major playmaker and a stalwart lineman to a squad that narrowly missed the playoffs last year. The guys let you know if this will be enough to get over the hurdle in a crowded AFC playoff picture next year. The Chiefs got a haul of futures in return, but what will it mean for their current squad?

History is made as half of the P&P hosts will see Canada in the world cup for the first time in their lives! That's how long it's been since Canada's last and only other appearance at the biggest sporting event in the world. The guys talk about the controversy that led to their first qualifying loss en route to qualifying on Sunday. How will Canada fare in their 2nd ever appearance at the event? The takes are hot with this one.

The Raptors are on fire and in much better shape than we predicted just a few weeks ago. What will it mean for the playoff picture in an extremely competitive Eastern Conference? On a night that the Raptor's win handily, there is drama in the stands and Scotiabank Arena is on fire, and Jack Armstong makes a 12" long Gaff on the broadcast... you'll see what I mean.

In the NHL a big trade buys the Vegas Golden Knights some much needed cap space... or so they thought. Jobs might be on thin ice after this trade is reversed due to an unknown no-trade clause that really ought to have been known, leaving the Golden Knights in a cap disaster and on track to miss the playoffs.

In the box a hot mic strikes again as a figure skating broadcaster gets axed after making derogatory comments about a skater when he thought the mic was off.

    S2E12 - 1h 56m - Mar 30, 2022
  • S2 E11 - Trade Deadline, Spring Training and Free Agency

This weeks show kicks off with blockbuster deals being made in the NHL ahead of the trade deadline. This is bad news for the Leafs getting out of the 1st round because all of the big names have been added to teams in the Atlantic division! The guys let you know who they think will make it out of the best division in hockey come playoff time.

Baseball is back from the lockout and teams are making it rain on the big name free agents! The guys give you their thoughts on if some big paydays were deserved and what these signings will mean for their teams this year. Also don't miss our wayyy too early World Series picks.

The LIV Golf Invitational schedule is set and it is going head to head with the Canadian Open. Will big purses and high stakes draw enough big name golfers to make the league a success?

The MLB isn't the only league splashing their cash, the guys break down big time player moves and pay days in the NFL. Will these moves be enough to get their teams to the promise land?

The guys "favorite" NBA star is the MVP for the second week in a row and a crazy controversial end to an NCAA hockey game has fans scrambling back to their seats an hour after the game ended... or so they thought.

    S2E11 - 2h 34m - Mar 23, 2022
  • S2 E10 - Heritage Classic

We were rocking it in the Hammer Sunday evening...well most of us were there rocking it... The Boys didn't have the greatest view of the game but it was a heck of an experience. Papi gets chippy and the Leafs goaltending lets them down...again!

Boys of Summer are with MLB Lockout finally resolved. We catch up on some signing and hear an aggressive hot take on trade that could send the Jays deep into the MLB expanded Playoffs

There are a bunch of MVP's this week as it was a historic week across all sports.

QB Carousel is back in the NFL and Mr. Unlimited has found himself in the new toughest division in football. Arod finally figures what he will be doing next year... It was not a surprise to many.

Probably one of the worst own goals in sports history lands in P&P's Penalty Box.

    S2E10 - 2h 8m - Mar 17, 2022
  • S2 E9 - Wayne Train

We're 2/3rds through the season and some prominent NHL and NBA players are separating themselves from the pack. The guys have some hot takes on their choices of who is going to win the MVP and rookie of the year in each league. Are we homers for having Toronto players winning three of the four awards? I mean it's not all four...

Straight outta Scarborough our MVP hits a major milestone in his NHL career.

The MLS season is underway and its newest team achieves record setting attendance. The guys let you know their expectations for TFC following a disappointing campaign last year.

The guys let you know what these blazing 40 yard dash times will mean for the players draft stock and let you know who will be going first overall in the upcoming draft.

BUSTED! An athlete gets caught with illegal drugs at a Russian airport and might face serious consequences. This might impact her travel plans, but she was able to find her way straight into our penalty box.

Kyrie might actually be allowed to play in Barclays Center. Durant coming back in the near future will see if the Nets can hold onto a Playoff spot.

The Wolverines coach starts a brawl and lands in the penalty box. Find out if everyone agrees he belongs there.

    S2E8 - 1h 14m - Mar 2, 2022
  • S2 E7 - Super Bowl

On this week's installment the Points and Penalties crew get into Olympic figure skating controversy. Should the gold medal be awarded to the guilty party? The guys also talk about the utter dominance in the Olympic women's hockey tournament. Will any country ever compete with the top two?

In golf news, there is quite a bit of chatter of a new league to attempt to rival the PGA. Listen to episode 7 to find out what the guys think of this new venture by The Shark. Can the two leagues coincide?

Get used to Jesse talking about the Super Bowl Champion LA Rams for the next 7 months. Will he gain more fans or more haters? Only time will tell. This week the conversations include opinions on the best receiving season of all time and whether or not a certain someone is Hall of Fame worthy.

Last but certainly not least the boys discuss a few trades in the NHL and a trade target to avoid. Find out what teams the guys think won each one.

The show wouldn't be complete without a stud in the MVP slot and a dud in the box. Be sure to find out who made waves on episode 7.
