Butcher Babies made a splash 17 years ago as an aggressive metal band with not one, but 2 woman, fronting the band. Earlier this year I had the opportunity to interview Carla Harvey, who officially left Butcher Babies in 2024. Now I get the chance to chat with Butcher Babies now, with Heidi Shepherd as the lone vocalist. Henry Flury and Sean Violet join. We talk the new album, single, direction, and hopes for the future. I invite you to take a listen. Sit back, relax and enjoy…

I get to take a trip back to my pre-programming days with my next guests. Back a quarter century ago, when I was just a kid on the radio. It was a fun time in music, in rock, with so many bands emerging. One of those bands was like the perfect pieces of a puzzle, linked together to make an incredible debut album. The band is Tantric. My guests are Hugo Ferreira and Breanne ‘Breezy’ Powell. And that debut album celebrates 25 years this year. Much to discuss. I invite you to take a listen. Sit back, relax & enjoy…

Getting in on the ground floor of an emerging artist, getting the opportunity to be a part of that, it’s truly satisfying. And in my interview with Ryan Perdz out of Buffalo, we delve a little deeper into his love of music. For the record, this interview was PRE-performance at the Brew York Festival, where he was the buzz. Everyone was blown away. I think you might be as well. I invite you to take a listen. Sit back, relax and please enjoy…

For this conversation, I talk with the man that has pipes massive enough to take on Aerosmith’s ‘Dream On. Matt James of Blacktop Mojo. The band on the road in support of their new album, ‘Discount Fireworks’ and a new single, ’10 Year Itch’. Incredible live. They absolutely put on a show. And we talk about that live environment, as well as the new music, the viral moments (there’ve been a few). Plus, we talk a sport we invented many years ago, Golf Cart Frisbee. I invite you to take a listen. Sit back, relac and please enjoy…

In this episode, I get to talk with Matt Caustic of Caustic Method and My Enemy. The man is a maestro of metal. He is one of most driven musicians I know. He’s kind of a workaholic. He lives to be making and playing music. And his music is heavy. It hits hard. And he has a great story to tell. He gets real and does not hold anything back. I invite you to take a listen. So please check it out and enjoy…

Let’s talk the Brew York Music Festival, year 10. I get to talk with Pat Robbins, Justin Krafft and Tom Scozzafava. We’ll touch on the music, the history and the libations, among other things. AND, I will do a little beer tasting whilst we’re at. So sit back, relax and enjoy…

My introduction to GWAR was in college. People say 'I experimented in college'. GWAR, was my 1st real experimentation. And then I had the opportunity to see them live a few weeks later. It is something everyone should do. You should see GWAR live, at least once… and right here, right now, I get to talk with Blothar the Berserker. And we talk all things GWAR. So please, check it out and enjoy…

For this latest episode we get to take a deep dive on one of the more underrated bands on the planet. Toadies are easily one of my top 10 favorite bands, all time. They're catalog is incredible. They have a new album out there. But most people only know them for the masterpiece, 'Possum Kingdom'. That, in and of itself, part of the problem. Hope you'll take a listen as I talk with frontman and guitarist, Vaden Todd Lewis of Toadies. Sit back, relax and enjoy...

For this next episode, we get to dig a little deeper about life on the road for a couple of up & coming bands in MAGI & The Nocturnal Affair. Both bands are navigating the imperfect terrain of trying to introduce their music to the masses. Both are great bands, with great songs out there. And both bands discuss the paths that have led them here. Two great interviews. Double your pleasure. Double your fun. Again if you don’t know the music, take a listen and then take the dive into their catalog. It’s worth it. So sit back, relax and enjoy.

Operation: Mindcrime is one of the most prolific rock operas ever recorded. And over the last 38 years, Geoff Tate has managed to follow that masterpiece up with parts 2 and 3. Both, up to the task. Both, brilliant in their own right. Operation: Mindcrime 3, has just been released. Geoff Tate was kind enough to indulge me on my fandom. We talk the current album, the continuation of the story, the change in point of view, as well as a bit more into what inspires Geoff Tate, in the music he makes. So sit back, relax, enjoy.

My next interview happens to be with one of my favorite new bands on the planet, unpeople. I get to have a conversation with frontman & guitar player, Jake Crawford, and bass player, Em Lodge. We’ll discuss their new song, ‘clouds’, the growing fanbase in Europe from constant touring on the festival circuit, the transition with Em joining the band in 2025 and what makes unpeople, unpeople. If you don’t know the music, take a listen and then take the dive into their catalog. It’s worth it. So sit back, relax and enjoy.

If you enjoy music and you love, the intricacies of guitar playing, you might want to take a listen to this conversation. Steve Vai is one of the most technically sound and creatively mind blowing guitar players alive. He has played on so many great songs. And I am lucky enough to pick his brain for a full 45 minutes plus. We talk everything from DLR to Whitesnake to Frank Zappa to his current band, SatchVai, with the great Joe Satriani. This, to me, is worth a listen. The man is a maestro. So sit back, relax and enjoy.

In this episode I talk with Justin Raymond of the band Crushdown. They were a band signed in 2000, released their debut single, ‘This’. They hit the road, opening up for bands like Foo Fighters, Nickelback, Candlebox, Nonpoint. The future was bright. Until it wasn’t. Justin is still doing his thing, writing and recording music. He’s also a hero first responder, a fire fighter. But what happened to Crushdown. Let’s find out.

Everlast has made a career out of telling stories in his music, whether with House of Pain or solo. I had the chance to get him to share the stories behind those stories, ‘Jump Around’, ‘What’s It Like’, as well as his latest single, ‘Stones’ from his forthcoming album. We’ll talk fatherhood, him reimagining himself (mid-career) and the rest, just listen to find out. Sit back, relax and enjoy.

The 90s was such a magnificent decade for music. There were so many different bands, creating masterpieces. There were so many different sounds coming from your speakers. One band, 1st listen, had a guitar player that piqued my curiosity. It was ear candy cranked to 11. It was Corrosion of Conformity and Pepper Keenan. I get to chat with Pepper about that introduction, with ‘Deliverance’. We talk about his other project Down with Phil Anselmo of Pantera. And we talk new music from both for 2026. It’s a great 20 minutes. Please take a listen and hope you enjoy.

As a kid, listening to the radio, there were a few bands that fulfilled the heavy metal fix. One of those, Judas Priest, they’ve been around longer than I’ve been alive. Longer than my current guest has been alive, Judas Priest guitarist, Richie Faulkner. We talk about him getting the call to be part, of Judas Priest, the near fatal event on stage at Louder Than Life, and we talk about his current project, Elegant Weapons. There’s more, of course, but you’ll need to listen to find out. Take the deep dive with me and enjoy…

For this episode, I get to geek out a bit. Going back to my 20s, when my musical tastes really started to take shape, during the 90s. With Grunge and post grunge, punk and metal and a band called Brother Cane. I was hooked from the drop, ‘Got No Shame’. I was in. & NOW, 28 years later, they’ve got a new album. I get to talk with frontman, Damon Johnson… who has a storied career OUTSIDE, of Brother Cane. He’s currently in Lynyrd Skynyrd. He’s played with Alice Cooper and Sammy Hagar and Thin Lizzy and Queensryche and countless, other, legendary artists. We touch on a bit of everything… enjoy.

Carla Harvey is not only uber talented, but driven, to showcase her talents. Whether it be fronting Butcher Babies, Lords of Acid or her all girls band, The Violent Hour. She’s also created her own comic books, she’s working on her Masters Degree. We talk all of that, her early influences, her clapping back at not being accepted for a talent show in high school, moving out West and taking a leap of faith. She had faith in herself. She’s always bet on herself. And it’s paying massive dividends as she carves her own path in 2026 and beyond. I’m betting on Carla as well. Please check it out. Hope you enjoy.
