Guest: D. W. Brooks had a kidney transplant (over 8 years in), spent almost a month in Africa with her family last summer, and used to be on her high school and college dance teams, Author of Romantic Suspense: The CHAOS Universe

D. W. Brooks is an author who has independently published three romantic suspense books and two contemporary romance novels. Writing stories about people who looked like her was D. W.’s first career goal at age eight, but without understanding how to achieve those goals at that time, she moved to dream number two: medicine. Although health problems later in life altered those plans, she is grateful to have been given another opportunity to live out her writing dreams. In addition to writing books, D. W. is also a retired ophthalmologist and a kidney transplant recipient of over eight years. She is originally from Alabama but now lives outside of Houston with her husband, daughter, and son when he's not in school.
She has a couple of live events in July -- one in the Houston area and one in NYC.
