Arissa speaks with Israel Tamale and Tamia Vernon. Israel is a 2nd Year Law with French Law student, Co-Chair of BEMA and Guild Representative for Equality and Diversity. Tamia is the Women&#39;s Officer for BEMA, she is currently a third year Philosophy, Religion and Ethics student and intends to pursue law afterwards. Israel discusses the Canadian case of Fred Christie as well as legal loopholes in the US that prevent police accountability. Tamia discuses Angela Davis&#39; approach to intersectionality in black liberation movements, as well as the US prisons industrial complex. This is a slightly longer episode with lots of food for thought!
