Black Women Will: Advancing the Gift of Order – The Southside Show Featuring Jini Thornton

13m | Dec 13, 2022

Around 80% of Black people pass on without a will in place. For financial expert Jini Thornton, this is a significant concern that impacts the Southside community since it puts the Black locals at risk of missing out on the opportunity to build a life of abundance.

In her words, a will is the “gift of order.” And that’s exactly the driving force behind Black Women Will: an annual free estate planning event of her financial literacy education company, Thank Me Later, Inc.

Whether it’s real estate, retirement funds, or other legal assets, Black Women Will aims to help Black women of the Southside get their legal affairs in order, so their dependents can secure generational wealth.

In this new edition of the Southside Show, Jini talks more about how Black Women Will came to be, its plans for 2023, and her philosophy on the importance of estate planning and will preparation.
