other people, other opinions, other strategies, other sources of 

comfort, and other places of refuge — all of them reached before the 

One who actually has the answer, the authority, and the ability to 

fix what is going wrong. The direction of your first look in a crisis 

reveals everything about where your trust actually lives.

This episode encourages you to examine honestly where your eyes go 

first when life falls apart and make the deliberate decision to 

retrain your instinctive response — so that the first place you look 

when things go wrong is up. When the crisis hits and every human 

instinct pulls your eyes sideways toward people, solutions, and 

distractions, that's your signal to lift your eyes deliberately and 

immediately to the One from whom your help has always and only ever 

truly come. Look up first. Look up fast. And keep looking up until 

the answer comes — because it always does, from the only direction 

it was ever going to come from.

already looked without finding the answer right now, take comfort 

in this truth: your help does not come from the hills, from other 

people, or from your own best efforts — it comes from the Lord, the 

Maker of heaven and earth, and He has never once run out of it.
