34m | Oct 26, 2026Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth Interview with Legendary Singer / Songwriter, Roch Voisine
About Harvey's guest:
Today’s special guest, Roch Voisine, is a spectacularly successful and beloved international singer-songwriter who became a global superstar in 1989 with the release of his iconic album, “Hélène”, which was certified multi-platinum and achieved diamond status.
Since then, he’s released 24 more albums, 11 of which have been certified gold, and 7 have gone platinum. He’s brought us dozens of hit songs in French including “Hélène”, “Pourtant”, “Avant de partir”, “Tant pis” and “Je te serai fidèle”. Some of his most popular English hit songs are “I’ll Always be There”, "Kissing Rain," "On the Outside," "With These Eyes," and of course, the English version of his timeless classic, "Hélène".
The list of prestigious awards and accolades our guest has received is truly breathtaking: a Juno Award and a Victoire de la Musique award. In 1992, the government of France made him the youngest person ever to receive the distinct honourary title of Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. And here in Canada, he’s received the Order of Canada, the Order of New Brunswick, he’s been inducted into the National Order of Quebec, and he received an honourary doctorate from the University of Moncton in his native province of New Brunswick. And earlier this year, he was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
He’s currently on tour performing a highly acclaimed, intimate acoustic tribute to another great Canadian artist, Gordon Lightfoot, called “The Lightfoot Sessions”, and he’s taken some time from his very hectic schedule to speak with us today.
