Segment 1

Tonight’s podcast episode starts off with host Georgeann reaching out to the audience and encouraging them to ask questions live on the show so that it can be answered by special guest: Cynthia James. Our hosts introduce Cynthia, a very accomplished transformational specialist. They introduce her book I Choose Me and bring up her Ted x talk. Cynthia explains her background and personal family history that explain how she came to be who she is today and all the works that she has done. Cynthia explains how her struggle and suffering throughout childhood had become the foundation of all her books and programs.

Segment 2

Coming back from the break, they begin to talk about the importance of passion and following it. For Cynthia, that passion was created. She wanted to follow her passions because by doing so, it brought her to another level. The three talk about how they are created to have a certain passion, whether it be creating or not, that they are meant to do. Cynthia explains how in order to find and follow a passion, you have to declutter life by sorting through all the history and baggage and then create a space that reflects what you would want.

Segment 3

Coming from the break, Cynthia goes into how spiritual practices are a great way to discover yourself on a deeper level. This leads to transitions and then truth telling. Cynthia explains the steps that people have to take to find healing in life after struggles and trauma. Cynthia tells a personal story of how she had pushed her physical well being past its limit and how due to that she was in danger of disease. The body is a tell to if you are holding yourself back or not progressing in your mental and spiritual health.

Segment 4

The last segment of tonight’s show starts with Cynthia explaining why she wanted to write her book. Women’s role in society was to take care of everyone else first, before the self. Cynthia believed that the self should come first. Once you are capable and able to take care of yourself, then you can spread that care to those around you. Tonight’s show ends with a warm prayer from Cynthia.
