Nour Kamel is a shortlistee of the Brunel University International African Poetry Prize in 2020 and her chapbook Noon (2019) is part of the New-Generation African Poets (Sita) series.
Her writing appears in Asameena, Anomaly, Rusted Radishes, Khabar Keslan, Sukoon, Voicemail Poems, Ikhtyar, 20.35 Africa, Sumou and Mizna. Kamel writes about identity, language, sexuality, queerness, gender, oppression, femininity, trauma, family, lineage, globalisation, loss and food.
