The Glory of the Lord

53m | Oct 25, 2026

What is the glory of the Lord?

In this message, Pastor Joel explores the meaning of Kabod — the honour, majesty, and active presence of God. From the cloud that filled Solomon’s temple so the priests could not stand to minister (1 Kings 8:11; 2 Chronicles 7:1-3), to God’s promise that “all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD” (Numbers 14:21), Scripture shows us a God who does not stay distant — He comes near.

That same glory is poured into our lives today through the gift of the Holy Ghost. Jesus promised He would not leave us comfortless, but would come to us and make His abode with us (John 14).

Drawing from Leviticus 9, this sermon looks at three things we are called to do for the glory of the Lord to appear in our lives:

1. Repentance — the sin offering, turning from sin so times of refreshing can come from the presence of the Lord

2. Surrender — the burnt offering, laying down our own will as Jesus prayed, “not as I will, but as you will”

3. Praise — the peace offering, offering God the voluntary sacrifice of thanksgiving — Towdah, Yadah, and Shabach — with lifted hands and lifted voices (Psalm 34:1; Hebrews 13:15)

Whether you need direction, healing, comfort, strength, provision, or victory over the enemy, the glory of the Lord is victory to His people. The King of glory still comes in.
