EP 59 | Part 1: The Challenges of Growing and Building a Team

I wish all the time that my dad had still been around when I was first starting out in my business.

As an entrepreneur himself, I believe he could have helped navigate me through those early days…especially through the steep learning curve of becoming a boss.

No one teaches you how to become a boss, let alone how to become a GOOD boss. Building, managing, and leading a team was by far the most difficult lesson I had to learn as a new CEO…and trust me, I did not get it right on the first try. Or the second. Or…well, let’s just say it took a while.

This episode marks the start of my series all about building a team. I believe that it’s high time we entrepreneurs start sharing the stories of our failures as well as our successes…and I’m happy to go first. 

So without further ado, let me tell you the story of the time I fired my entire team in one day…
