Do you walk into prayer feeling like you need to earn the right to be there? Denying your weaknesses won't help, and neither will listing them. What you need is a confession from the Word that says who you are in Christ. In week 4 of the Our Father series, Pastor Jason Mayfield preaches John 1, verses 1 through 30, and closes with grace confessions to pray every day: I am the righteousness of God in Christ, God has already given me more than I will ask, nothing I do outweighs the finished work, everything I'm not Christ is in me, and more. Discover the boldness to come before the throne of grace and do business with the Lord. Do you know God loves you, or do you believe it? A fever helps your body clear an infection, you know that, and you still reach for the Tylenol the second your temperature climbs. Knowing a thing and believing it are two different experiences, and the gap between them is where most Christians live. In week 3 of the Our Father series, Pastor Jason Mayfield preaches 1 John 4, verses 7 through 21, on knowing and believing the love God has for you, and on the confidence, assurance, and peace that show up when both finally land at the same time. Do you ever feel like you slipped out of favor with God the last time you messed up? That feeling has a name, and Scripture treats it as a whole ministry with its own glory, its own power, and its own result, which is death. There are two ministries running in the room, and most believers spend their lives under the wrong one without ever naming it. Pastor Jason Mayfield preaches 2 Corinthians 3 in week 2 of the Our Father series and lays out how condemnation gets reinstalled after you are saved, and how the veil comes off for good. Are you carrying a quiet suspicion that God's goodness toward you depends on how well you behaved this week? Pastor Jason Mayfield opens the Our Father series by walking straight through Romans 5 with no notes and no points, letting Paul make the case that grace is unmerited favor extended in full measure to everyone who believes. The message draws a line most of us have never seen: what happens spiritually the second you are saved, and what has to happen in your understanding before it shows up physically. Discover how growing in grace produces real hope, real freedom, and the confidence to come boldly before the throne. Pastor Jason Mayfield opens Mark 9, where Jesus tells his disciples that some things come out only by prayer, and launches a new teaching series through the Lord's Prayer at Saraland Church. He walks through all seven parts, from Our Father to For thine is the kingdom, and introduces the Power 27 framework of twenty-seven minutes a day with Jesus. Are you waiting to feel inspired before you'll participate in worship? Pastor Jason Mayfield says the feeling isn't coming — and Isaiah 61 proves it, because every solution God offers is a garment you put on while the heaviness is still there. This message lays out five physical postures of vibrant worship and why your participation may matter more for the person standing next to you than it does for you. Why do some churches grow and still never seem to work? You can have the crowd, the calendar, and the mission statement on the wall — and quietly drift into simply keeping the doors open. In this message, Pastor Jason Mayfield teaches on the fivefold ministry from Ephesians 4 and shows why an apostolic and prophetic foundation is what separates a living church from a religious organization. Discover how foundation, fresh revelation, and every gift working together produce a church that actually bears fruit. Before Elijah was ever hungry, the ravens were there. Before he was ever thirsty, the brook was there. Then the brook dried up — and God said nothing. Ashleigh Mayfield opens 1 Kings 17 with three promises for the season you're in — God is faithful to provide, to develop you, and to direct you. The question underneath all of it — who are you when your brook is drying up?

Is abortion a political problem or a people problem? In Week 4 of For All People, we take on one of the most sensitive topics in our culture. We say plainly where we stand — pro-life, anti-abortion, life begins at conception — but this message was never about scoring political points. Overturning Roe v. Wade didn't stop abortion. Truth alone doesn't change hearts. Even the science doesn't move people. The only thing that reaches the one in four women who will face this decision is the gospel of Jesus Christ. We call ourselves the United States, but lately it feels far more divided than united — and the church often navigates that divide poorly. This message asks a hard question: have we quietly become party first, country second, and kingdom last? The real division was never between Republicans and Democrats. Scripture says our fight is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12), and that we've inherited a kingdom that cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:28). We work through three things pulling us apart — the outrage algorithm, our own assumptions, and the pull of the extremes — and two practical ways to stay kingdom-minded: keep the main thing the main thing, and detox from the constant noise of the world (Romans 12:2).A word for anyone who's lost a relationship, or their peace of mind, to politics.Scriptures: Hebrews 12:28 · 1 Corinthians 6 · Ephesians 6:12 · Proverbs 18:2 · Matthew 17:14–18 · Romans 12:2 · John 17:14 Looking for a church in Saraland, AL?Join us every Sunday at 10:30am at 907 Shelton Beach Rd, Saraland, AL 36571We're building a Jesus-centered, Spirit-filled church for all people. 0:00 Intro — United or Divided States?1:19 What the Divide Is Costing Us3:09 How Fast the Ground Is Shifting5:06 Divided on Every Issue8:20 We All Want the Same Thing12:31 Party First, Country Second, Kingdom Last14:14 We've Inherited a Kingdom17:16 Be Involved, But Don't Idolize the Outcome20:05 The Real Enemy Isn't Your Neighbor21:26 #1 The Algorithm Wants You Outraged25:27 The World Isn't as Bad as You Think28:40 #2 Check Your Own Assumptions38:00 #3 Beware the Extremes42:24 Leave Your Politics in the Parking Lot44:10 Detox from the World51:56 Politics for a Better Life

Pastor Jason Mayfield tackles the question every conversation about faith and sexuality eventually lands on: is homosexuality a sin? Instead of taking the easy road, he works through the actual text — all six passages where the Bible speaks to it, the 1946 translation debate, and the doctrines of justification, sanctification, and glorification — to get to the bigger question underneath: does God love gay people, and is there a seat for them in the church?Clear is kind. This message is honest about where Scripture stands and equally honest about grace, process, and the long road of sanctification we're all on. The gospel is for all people — and that's where this starts and ends.Scripture referenced: Romans 1.26-27, Leviticus 18.22, Leviticus 20.13, 1 Corinthians 6.9-10, 1 Timothy 1.9-10, Jude 7, Matthew 19.4, Romans 6.23, Romans 3.21-24, James 2.17-24, Psalm 119.160, Romans 10.13.
Chapters
00:00 Welcome & the Ron Sparks Story 02:37 The Gospel Is for All People 05:20 Is Homosexuality a Sin? There are three things quietly killing the church's effectiveness — and none of them are coming from the outside. In Part 1 of our new series "For All People," Pastor Jason Mayfield starts where Jesus says every believer has to start: removing the log from your own eye before you point out the speck in someone else's. From Ephesians 2, this message names the three "logs" that wreck the church's witness and rebuild the "dividing wall of hostility" Christ already tore down: undiagnosed pride, willful ignorance, and immovable expression. Then it gets practical and uncomfortable — learning to hold the TRUTH of God's Word in one hand and the LOVE of the cross in the other at the same time. It's the difference between being right and being effective. It's learning, as Pastor Jason puts it, to "human well" with people who don't look, vote, or believe like us. This is the foundation for everything coming in this series. Over the next several weeks we'll address the issues our culture is fighting about — but it starts here, with the heart. 🔑 IN THIS MESSAGE• "Clear is kind" — why we say where we stand• Removing the log from our own eye (Matthew 7)• The dividing wall of hostility, and how the church keeps rebuilding it (Ephesians 2)• Undiagnosed pride: "I've got it figured out, you just need my program"• Willful ignorance: refusing to understand what someone else is actually living• Immovable expression: why we can't seem to keep our opinions to ourselves• Holding truth and love in tension — "the dance"• How God Himself "humaned with the humans" (the incarnation) 📖 SCRIPTURES IN THIS MESSAGEEphesians 2.11-22 · Matthew 7.3-5 · Luke 4.43 · Hebrews 12.28 · Romans 11 · Galatians 2.18 · 1 Corinthians 9.22 · Galatians 6.3 · 1 Corinthians 6.19-20 · Proverbs 25.2 · Proverbs 20.5 · John 1.14 · 1 Timothy 3.16 · Romans 8.3 · Hebrews 4.15 · Matthew 6.10 ⏱️ CHAPTERS0:00 Welcome + setting up the series4:13 Clear is kind9:25 The log in our own eye (Matthew 7)10:44 Why the kingdom comes first15:02 The dividing wall of hostility (Ephesians 2)20:31 #1 Undiagnosed pride25:33 #2 Willful ignorance30:15 #3 Immovable expression36:58 Learning to "human well"45:37 Truth in one hand, love in the other47:36 How God humaned with the humans49:55 Closing prayer ────────────────────────📍 Looking for a church in Saraland, AL?Join us Sundays at 10:30amSaraland Church907 Shelton Beach Rd, Saraland, AL 36571 🙌 Plan your visit: https://www.saralandchurch.com/plan-your-visit❤️ Give: https://www.saralandchurch.com/give 🔔 SUBSCRIBE and turn on notifications — don't miss the rest of the "For All People" series. 💬 What's one place you've seen the church build a wall instead of a bridge? 3 Things Quietly Killing the Church's Effectiveness | Pastor Jason Mayfield

Faith comes by hearing — but the moment it does, fear usually shows up. In this message, Jon Breslin, youth director at Saraland Church, walks through the rhythm of faith: how to hear it, how to slay the fear that tries to stop it, and how to act on it so God's power can move.Drawing from Hebrews 11, Romans 10:17, and the woman who pressed through the crowd to touch the hem of Jesus' robe after twelve years of isolation (Mark 5), you'll see why that anxious feeling in your chest isn't a stop sign — it's the alarm telling you faith is right in front of you. Hope says God can. Faith says God will. And faith plus obedience equals God's results. In this message: • Hear Faith — faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17) • Slay Fear — fear is the roadblock, but also the invitation to step in • Act on Faith — faith without works is dead (James 2:17–20)📖 Scriptures: Hebrews 11:1 • Romans 10:17 • Psalm 91:1 • Mark 5:25–34 • James 2:17–20— Saraland Church Sundays at 10:30 AM 907 Shelton Beach Rd, Saraland, AL 36571

What does it really mean to be blessed... even when your circumstances are saying otherwise? While Pastor Jason was away, we had the joy of handing the pulpit to Pastor John Mosley for the very first time. Pastor John leads our Compassion Ministries here at Saraland Church, and let's just say his story about the three job offers — the garbage truck, the mirror factory, and this one — is worth the price of admission all on its own. In this message, Pastor John walks through Genesis 1:26–28 to remind us of something easy to forget: God has already declared you blessed. From there he digs into the roadblock of "incomplete beliefs," the unchanged mandate to live with dominion, and why knowing your identity in Christ matters more than almost anything else. (He'll also explain what setting up a Zelle account has to do with all of it — you'll have to watch.) Grab your Bible, settle in, and get ready to be reminded just how blessed you are.
